Before Spanish came to Peru, our native language was Quechua. However, after Spanish conquest, our native language changed to Spanish. Also, Peru is multiethnic nation because one century before people immigrated to Peru from different part of the world such as: Spain, China, Japan and Africa.

In Peru, you can find beautiful beaches and lakes. Lake Titicaca is well known for their flouting lakes which are made of aquatic plants and they are flouting over the lake. Other thing that you can find is the Nazca lines which are drawings of animals and plants on the dessert. These drawings are very enormous that you just can see in a helicopter.

I don’t know if you know that I have a twin sister. Maybe, one day, you saw her and you thought that she was me. It usually happens when people don’t know us. Katherine Tamariz is my twin sister and we have lived all our life together. Since we were little babies people always got confused with us. Sometimes people think that we are the same person, but when they see us together, they are surprised.

During my life, I have had many anecdotes with her. When I was six years old, my mom told me to do something, but I didn’t do it. Then, my mom punished her instead of me because she didn’t know which one was the twin who didn’t obey her. Other anecdote was when I was eleven years old.  Since we were little babies my mom used to dress us very similar. One day I was rushed and I had to dress up very quickly. Then, I put one of her shoes and the other one was mine. i will never forget the day because my shoes were different colors.

Although we are twins, we have different personalities and likes. However, one day happens something unusual. I have bought a shirt and I show her if she liked it. Then, she told me that she had bought the same shirt two days ago. Finally, I had to return the shirt back.

Today, I would like to write about Global Warming. This is one of the biggest problems in the world and I am sure that you don’t know why it is happening?

 This is happening because we are using a lot of fossil fuel which send green gases to our atmosphere and it makes our earth warmer. We make these gases when we drive a car, use electricity or when we heat our home with oil. I know that we need to do these things for our necessities, but we should reduce these gases if we want to have a better future for our future generations.

Global warming brings many consequences in our earth such as a rise in sea level, extinctions of animals. I recommend you to watch a video that is called “An Inconvenient Truth” because it explains you every detail about global warming. Al gore is one of the most important people who is concerned about this problem. I hope this article make you think about our planet and you recommend other people to reduce energy.

I had the opportunity to study in JOHN F. KENNEDY high school when I was seventeen years old.  I just studied junior and senior year. Although everything was new for me,  I think that I lived one of the most wonderful moment of my life.  At that time,  I couldn’t speak, read or write in English, but little by little I started to practice and tried to speak English with my teachers. Finally,  I graduated from  JOHN F. KENNEDY in 2007.

After my graduation,  I wanted to contunue my studies and PCCC  which was the best option for me. In PCCC,  I have learned to read, write and speak in English. Also, my major is mathemathic and I am taking this semester precalculus which I love it and I am getting good grades.
